Volunteer for the Mobile Medical Van
Wednesday, Nov 12th
from 5-9pm
Location TBA (within 40 min drive of UCI)
5 volunteers will work as runners for the clinic, directing patients from station to station, and another 5 will be shadowing the Kaiser doctors within the medical rooms.
There are 3 alternate positions available in case one of the volunteers is unable to make it. You will be notified no later than 1pm of the day of the clinic.
In an effort to give everyone a chance to help at the mobile clinics, you can only sign-up for ONE clinic and you are not able to sign-up if you were at the last mobile clinic on Sept. 3rd. If space is available after Sept. 17th 11:59 pm, registration will be open to everyone. Multiple sign-ups will result in the forfeiting of your positions to an alternate.
This is a great opportunity to become involved with an ambitious new initiative, and it provides an awesome opportunity for you to see community-based medicine.
Space is limited, so please sign-up ASAP by posting to this page and indicate if you would like to be a runner or a shadower.
Also, if you are willing to carpool, please post a reply to this event listing stating how many people including yourself you can take in your car.
You will need to dress in CF-type clothes (minus ties). Please bring your stethoscope and name badge. You will not need your white coat.
